Stockings For Soldiers

  Lower Swatara Lions Club is a proud sponsor for the Stockings For Soldiers Campaign. You can help our troops feel some HOME for the holidays- purchase or construct a stocking, and fill it with items from the list below. Deliver it to our clubhouse (2 Theodore Avenue) before November 14, 2026 and we will have it shipped to our troops.

Things they want:

• Christmas Hats-Santa, reindeer or Elf type
• Paper or plastic Christmas decorations (no glass!)
• Small Individually Packages Meals: TUNA, Lasagna, Beef-A-Roni Smaller package (8 oz or less) Ground/instant coffee, k-cups and tea. Coffee creamers & sugar packets
• Hot Chocolate/Snowman soup or oatmeal packets
• Power Bars, cereal bars, trail mix, granola bars, healthy snacks Slim Jim’s, Beef or Turkey jerky
• All flavors of Ramen noodles (NO CUP OF NOODLES, please) Individual drink mixes for water bottles
• Sunflower seeds & nuts in small packages
• Individually wrapped snacks -crackers, cookies, cheese & cracker kits Candy Canes,individually wrapped hard candy, gum, chocolates. Toothbrush and small toothpaste
• Razors, baby wipes, small size toiletries Sunscreen, chapstick with sunscreen, Blistex Aspirin, Tylenol and cold meds in small packages
• Odor eaters (for boots), Dr Scholl’s foot pads, blister pads
• Men’s & Women’s calf high socks or boot socks (Black or white) Hand & foot warmers, Thermal gloves or glove liners
• Deck of Playing cards or small card games, pocket games, puzzles
• Holiday Greeting Cards!!! Send a Personal Holiday Messages of Support & Friendship (Include return address/email, you might hear back from a soldier. Limit: 100 cards per person)
• The US Postal Service regulations do not allow anything in aerosol cans, bar soap or hand sanitizer to be shipped. 
• Shipping currently takes about 14-21 days to combat zones. It takes about 2 weeks to get everything sorted and boxed. Please keep that in mind when checking expiration dates on food items.
• We are currently NOT ACCEPTING any books.
